Toy Run

The USMC Toy Run this year was awesome.  Every year the USMC does a toy run for Toy's For Tots in Colorado springs. This year had one of the best turn outs i have seen in a while.  Great job to Pro Promotions who helped put it on.  God Bless everyone that participated and God bless the USMC!!!!

The Old Days

I ran into someone that I haven't seen in about 8 years last night.  She was a friend from way back and reminded me of when I was a young idiot.  She was shocked at how much i have changed.  And i think i have.  I am much more responsible and considerate than i was when i was 21 years old!  I remember being in Cowboys until the lights came on and then going to Village Inn till 4 am.  And then being in formation for PT at 0600.  I would love to say i miss those days.  But i really don't.  I like the way my life has turned out over all.  I run into people that i used to hang with back in the day.  and i see how immature some of them are.  it's like they are stuck in their 21 y\o days.  I am glad i grew up!!! so long to the past here is to the future!!!

Well,  I have never Blogged before so i am gonna give it a try.  First off let me tell you about myself.  My name is Russ.  I live in Colorado Springs Colorado.  I am a computer geek during the day and a karaoke DJ by night.  I ride a 2006 Harley Davidson Night Train, and am the president of a local Veterans Motorcycle Group.  I do consider myself a patriot.  I love this country very much, and served in the US Army for three years during peace time in the nineties. 

I am recently separated from my wife of nine years.  We are still very close friends and have a beautiful daughter together.  She is hyper and sometimes a huge pain in the ass (obviously my kid ) but i love her with every inch of my heart.  

I have had an interesting life. i have had the opportunity do do more in my 31 years, most people get to do there whole lives. I have been to Korea, Rome, Mexico, Kuwait, Japan, and was born in Germany. I was an Explosives and Demolitions guy(Combat Engineer) while in the Army, and loved it.  If i was not to old and have a daughter to take care of, i would join back up in a heartbeat!

Due to my job as a DJ one of the biggest night clubs in Colorado, I know allot of people.  But i have only a small circle of very close friends.  

Anyway i figure my adventures in gluttony and stupidity are not nearly over, and perhaps you may get some entertainment from my journey forward. As i know i will!!!!! So sit back enjoy and read. I will try to post to this blog at least weekly.  More when i can.
